Marjorie Taylor Greene Has Lost Her Personal Twitter Account Permanently

Are they finally no longer suffering fools gladly in a post-Trump world?

One of my favorite buffoons hogging the spotlight has at last received her comeuppance from Twitter — just like her hero before her.

The reason? She posted “repeated violations” of the Covid-19 misinformation policy to the platform.

“We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” Twitter said in a statement. “We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”

So we are at last seeing that dangerous and daft speech can and will have consequences for people like MTG and her ilk. The nicest thing about this is if she transfers her brand of lunacy over to her ‘official’ Twitter account (Jewish space lasers, anyone?), we may see her shut down there as well.

So long, MTG. Just go ahead and become an ignored footnote in history already. You won’t be missed.

Before there are those who stridently shout “mah freeeedoms!” in protest over this, I would point out that while MTG has freedom of speech, that right is not an absolute anytime, anywhere.

It particularly does not mean that a a private business platform has to carry your message of nonsense or hate they don’t agree with.

Jewish space lasers indeed.
