Too Many Insiders With No Guts

Only now telling their stories?

We see endless promotional stories for Stephanie Grisham’s new tell-all book on what she saw and heard while part of Trump’s administration. According to the book, there is no real shocker that Donald Trump is exactly what those of us before 2016 said he was.

With minor twists and turns, this is what every book concerning the Trump administration is telling us. What disturbs me, though, is something else nearly all of these ‘insider’ missives also have in common —

The author(s), despite knowing early on what a train wreck and imminent danger to everyone Trump was, waited until now to tell us about it.

This would include Bob Woodward, who had in his possession those infamous phone interview tapes that proved that Trump was lying to the nation about Covid’s danger and transmissibility. Yet, he said nothing to us — until it was time to release his book and those tapes to promote it.

The question is, why? Why did all these people wait until now, after the horse had long left the barn, to tell us of what they saw when they knew it was wrong at the time?

Where were their courage and moral outrage then? What stopped them?

Inquiring minds want to know.
